Pros
Company offers flexibility and working remotely.
Cons
- TOOLS/SOFTWARE: There are simply way too many tools/software programs. Instead of fixing and improving what they have, they will create band-aid fix new tools/software programs. So instead of having to use one tool for say one task, you are stuck using 2, 3, 4, etc. - JOB GROWTH/PAY: It is extremely hard to move up in the organization as there is a lot of concentration in the mid-range of roles. When moving up or laterally between roles it is hard to get a competitive bump up in pay. If you start off low in the company, it is hard to grow your salary as you get the "HR can only give "X%". You may be much more qualified for a position then an outside candidate, but they will start off at more then you if they were hired in. You are better off leaving and coming back if you want better pay in that case. There are a lot of empty promises regarding pay, they will tell you all day long that you are a star employee and you are vital to the organization, yet they will not pay a competitive salary or give rewarding bumps in pay. - BENEFITS: Health insurance for employees is not the best, considering you work for an insurance company you would assume you would be given a better - UPPER MANAGEMENT/CHANGES: Upper management will spearhead and push for changes, however do not understand the complications behind such changes and the tools and resources needed. They simply want it down, even though getting it down is near impossible without the right tools/resources. Poor planning.
