The best career choice I've made was deciding to work for Columbus! - Case Manager The Columbus Organization Employee Review

Pros

I'm so excited that over 2 years ago more companies were granted the opportunity to offer case management services to individuals receiving waiver services. This provided families an opportunity to choose the case management provider who was the best fit for their loved ones rather than being forced to work with only one company. As a case manager providing case management services for many years I too was excited about the opportunity to choose the best company to fit my needs as an employee. Finally I'm known as a compassionate, caring, hard working individual who works to meet the needs of my consumers rather than just a name on the companies payroll. Management knows me by my name, are always available to answer my questions, compliment me when I do a good job, and strive to assist me to be the best case manager I can be!

Cons

Sometimes I find myself working after hours due to the nature of working from home.

Pros

Working as a Care Manager here has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my nursing career. This company truly values balance, flexibility, and people. The hybrid-remote model allows me to be fully present for my family while still feeling deeply connected to my colleagues and leadership. The level of team support and collaboration, even in a virtual setting, far exceeds what I have experienced in traditional in-office environments. Leadership demonstrates real compassion and shared governance in action. They listen, they problem-solve, and they make you feel heard, whether it is about workload, salary alignment, or professional goals. When I have raised concerns, I have been met with understanding and proactive support, not defensiveness or delay. Incentives and recognition programs are motivating, and there are abundant opportunities for both professional and personal growth. This is a company that genuinely cares, not just about clients but about the people who make the work happen. I have grown here as a nurse, a leader, and a parent. The ability to have a meaningful career and be present for my kids is something I would not trade for the world. If you are looking for a team where integrity, compassion, and flexibility guide the culture, this is it.

Cons

Benefit package is a bit expensive understandably for a smaller company

Pros

Only upside is paycheck but you are overworked anyway, so it ends up being like 5 dollars an hour

Cons

I would not recommend anyone to work here. They made their Support Coordinators do so much more with very little positive feedback. Management pushes people to their limits and they overwork you hard. They don’t care about anyone’s life and they have awful policies that push employees to their breaking point. They partake in careless firing and they don’t reward anyone who works there. Please run and don’t apply because you will regret it. Making the money wasn’t even worth it because there is no work-life balance.
