Long term vision does not much current investment in employees - Corporate Office The Geneva Foundation Employee Review

Pros

They can give you an opportunity to learn about Grants management even if you don't have a lot of experience, which can allow you to leverage your experience and skills when you are later trying to find a job somewhere else in the Grants/non profit field (which will come with a much greater pay than what Geneva will pay you). The benefits are good, good PTO (4 weeks per year)- however no one ever gets the chance to take it and even when you are on PTO there is often still an obligation to stay on and support your team because the work never ends.

Cons

You will be grossly underpaid for what you do for this organization. Annual pay increases are only for cost of living adjustments and there are no annual increases for each year that you have gained experience in the position. They are also inconsistent between people of the same level/title. There is no standardized pay rate nor are they on par with the market. Turn over at the corporate office is very quick, and instead of hiring people to replace employees the work gets handed to another manager who is already over worked. Leadership is out of touch with what the employees need despite an employee climate survey in which employees voiced complaints but nothing was ever done. They are unwilling to invest into their current employees which makes their long term goals for the organization very unrealistic.

Pros

Working with active duty military members.

Cons

Do not value longevity or expertise of employees. Do not value education or knowledge of employees. Dead-end job with no chance to advance.
