Unsafe, unchecked, propaganda - Registered Nurse The George Washington University Hospital Employee Review

Pros

Not super strict about charting, which of course will lead to many cons. Easy to get to because the Metro stop is right outside.

Cons

This place is totally unsafe. As a nurse for over 8 years, I've never seen a PACU so disorganized and 90% temp/contractors. The current manager, "P," has forced nurses to unsafely discharge patients and creates a hostile, unfriendly environment. She holds grudges because she's unable to handle confrontation to solve her issues. Nurses here won a union in the summer of 2022, so for nurses to need a union so quickly, should tell you something. Before the union vote, reps from the hospital would take nurses away from their patients, into the hallway, for 40+ minute meetings about how unions are bad. I've taken multiple pictures of anti union propaganda that were posted all over break rooms, bathrooms, and staff areas. Also, parking is 24$/day. For nurses week, they gave us broken meat and stale cookies that ran out 4 hours before they said the event would end.
