Pros

uncapped commission free 2-3 massages once a year reduced membership price

Cons

Owners can and WILL gaslight you for their own benefit. They do NOT care about loyalty and WILL fire you the moment you raise any concerns regarding their management style. They WILL give you hush money to leave the boutique and allow them to close up any cases or concerns, Owners own four businesses already, and somehow plan to open another NOW location but the greed does not stop there, and they will push you till you become burnt out and then wonder why your performance is not at a consistent peak before writing you up. They will leave you to go get their light therapy sessions around the corner at their other location, then write you up for not taking a break when there is no management around to even break you. Job description states they're flexible with your schedule: 90% of the hires are college students, but they'll refrain us from studying or doing ANYTHING that isn't bringing them any money, despite finishing work tasks early and not having anything lined up to do afterwards for the business. If you don't live, love, laugh The NOW, it's NOT worth your mental health to work at this location.

Pros

The therapists, management and other EG’s were great.

Cons

Everything that’s wrong with the corporatization of the ‘wellness’ industry can be found right here. More focus on the aesthetics of the space than the experience of the humans working IN the space is the core of the problem. Someone from the corporate office came in and spent a lot of time moving the retail items in the lobby an inch over and making sure that no employee personal items were visible but yet was completely unmoved by the five layers of filth on the break room floor. There is no employee bathroom. In fact, there is ONE bathroom for the entire spa -that has upwards of 25+ people on the premises at any given time. The ‘break room’ is the size of my bathroom, no exaggeration. Employees regularly eat lunch or take breaks in their cars because there’s no room, and since the break room is actually a utility room - where cleaning supplies, towels and the washer and dryer are are stored and used, it can get hot quickly (the AC didn’t work several times in the summer in the short time I was there). This is also where the computer to clock in is kept. With up 8 therapists and people clocking in and out, there is hardly room to stand. Spotted a roach crawling up the dryer in the middle of the day. High turnover.
