Pros

Good pay based on experience. Pretty good tips. My hours were flexible.

Cons

Holy drama. There is one toxic manager who ruins it for everyone! She acts like she’s a great worker but tries to bring everyone down. Talks behind backs but will be your best friend to your face. She thinks no one knows what she says but that’s far from the truth The owners are so in the dark and in denial about this

Pros

The therapists, management and other EG’s were great.

Cons

Everything that’s wrong with the corporatization of the ‘wellness’ industry can be found right here. More focus on the aesthetics of the space than the experience of the humans working IN the space is the core of the problem. Someone from the corporate office came in and spent a lot of time moving the retail items in the lobby an inch over and making sure that no employee personal items were visible but yet was completely unmoved by the five layers of filth on the break room floor. There is no employee bathroom. In fact, there is ONE bathroom for the entire spa -that has upwards of 25+ people on the premises at any given time. The ‘break room’ is the size of my bathroom, no exaggeration. Employees regularly eat lunch or take breaks in their cars because there’s no room, and since the break room is actually a utility room - where cleaning supplies, towels and the washer and dryer are are stored and used, it can get hot quickly (the AC didn’t work several times in the summer in the short time I was there). This is also where the computer to clock in is kept. With up 8 therapists and people clocking in and out, there is hardly room to stand. Spotted a roach crawling up the dryer in the middle of the day. High turnover.
