Pros

Employee Engagement: A positive work culture fosters high levels of employee engagement. When employees feel valued and aligned with the company's values, they tend to be more motivated and committed to their work. Higher Productivity: A healthy workplace culture often leads to increased productivity. Employees who enjoy their work environment are more likely to be focused, innovative, and efficient in their tasks. Retention and Recruitment: A strong company culture helps retain top talent and attract new talent. People want to work for organizations with a reputation for providing a great work environment and growth opportunities. Team Collaboration: A positive culture encourages collaboration and teamwork. Employees are more likely to work well together, share ideas, and support one another in achieving common goals. Enhanced Well-Being: A supportive culture that promotes work-life balance and employee well-being results in reduced stress and improved mental health. This, in turn, leads to happier and healthier employees.

Cons

Resistance to Change: A very strong culture can sometimes lead to resistance to change. Employees may become entrenched in established practices and find it challenging to adapt to new ways of doing things, which can hinder innovation and growth. Cultural Fit Issues: A strong culture may inadvertently result in a lack of diversity in thought and personality, as it may prioritize individuals who conform to the existing culture. This can stifle creativity and limit the introduction of fresh perspectives. Rigidity: A culture that is too rigid may discourage experimentation and risk-taking. Employees may fear making mistakes or trying new approaches, which can hinder progress. Exclusivity: A strong culture may inadvertently lead to cliques or exclusive groups within the organization. This can create a sense of exclusion among employees who don't feel like they fit in, potentially leading to a lack of inclusivity. Cultural Stagnation: If a company culture becomes too entrenched and resistant to change, it may fail to adapt to evolving industry trends or market shifts. This can put the organization at a disadvantage in a rapidly changing world. To strike the right balance, it's important for companies to foster a strong culture while also being open to adaptation, diversity, and continuous improvement.

Pros

Good breadth of offerings in the staffing world and some boutique consulting services, although they have recently carved off some businesses and that is making them more niche again.

Cons

Constant turnover at the top levels. They have lost at least 2 CEOs (without any public notice) and there's been a lot of talent loss and role-shifting at the VP levels and above. They have radically changed comp plans within the Sales teams, and it's caused them to lose a lot of their A players. Cost-cutting seems to be the driver. Honestly, I'm not sure what their strategy is anymore. They seemed to have a "plan" when I was there, but they've become just another staffing company in my mind.
