Pros

My colleagues in operations were wonderful. And the teachers are a vibrant group of diverse individuals. When you are able to connect with the customer and provide great service, or hear student success stories it's very satisfying. The health insurance was also really great, covered everything and didn't require a primary care provider.

Cons

The company recently underwent a major overhaul, changing all of their operating systems, website, and many procedures. The result was a job that went from bad to worse. The new systems are not intuitive and aren't designed to serve the purposes they're being used for. As a result nothing works quite right and employees on the ground are overburdened with endless administrative tasks to keep things running, which was the case before the big change as well. The employees in operations work for inappropriately little pay for the work required. Employees are constantly re-inventing the wheel when trying to solve problems that have existed for years. All of the systems and procedures have work-arounds and temporary fixes, and the work-arounds have work-arounds. Employees by and large feel undervalued and under appreciated. It is not uncommon for someone's job description to change drastically with little notice, or for one's workload to double without any additional compensation. Senior management always falls back on the promises of bonuses that will come when goals are met, yet individuals have very little influence on whether or not goals are met. Meanwhile, there is rarely recognition of a job well done or disaster dealt with. The people who are good at their jobs seem to burn out and quit. Those who are not good, but talk a good game get promoted.

Pros

The strategies and course content are great. Jealous of these students! All the materials are already provided to the instructors and you have the flexibility to bid for courses that fit your schedule. Very supportive admin team.

Cons

Wouldn't rely on this as main income as schedules/course biddings are not guaranteed. But I have never bid with full schedule availability so I can't say for sure.
