Pros

There are some really wonderful people at TSRI but none of them are in senior management! Co-workers and several PI's are really at the top of their game but this is a place where those at the top are paid amazingly well while those who actually do the work are treated as 100% expendable.

Cons

The President is completely out of touch and is certifiable. He is dysfunctional and as a result, the senior leadership team is much the same way. After all, who would want to work for someone like that? Communications are purposely non existent. The top people take really good care of themselves (huge salaries, first class air, the best hotels, expensive wine) while everyone else is put on a salary freeze and when that was over, are given stupid raises (1.5%). Unless you are a top PI who has a lot of grant money, you just don't matter at TSRI. There are much better places to pursue science and the best people are figuring that out very quickly.
