Pros
Ability to work remotely, solid medical benefits
Cons
I worked here for a while, and the last year was the worst professional experience of my life. The management in the C-Suite was utterly incompetent, and their decision-making abilities were questionable at best. They seemed to be more focused on their personal interests rather than the welfare of the company or the employees. The total compensation package was subpar, and it was evident that the company didn't value its employees' hard work and dedication. Even worse, management had a habit of bullying and belittling employees, creating a hostile work environment. In 2022-2023, the company underwent three or four rounds of layoffs. Instead of easing the burden on remaining employees, the workload increased, and there was no compensation or recognition for the extra effort. It is a bait and switch "culture" that leaves employees feeling undervalued and overworked. The notable fun and weird Zappos is all smoke and mirrors. To make matters worse, the constant layoffs and uncertainty around job security caused many employees to experience mental health concerns. Several employees quit due to the stressful work environment and lack of support from management. There's mental health benefits, but GOOD LUCK having the time to use them. HA! The lack of clear direction and communication made it difficult for employees to understand their roles and responsibilities, leading to confusion and frustration. As more people left, those remaining were expected to carry the burden, leading to a significant workload that was impossible to handle. Overall, I would not recommend working here anytime soon. The poor management, subpar total compensation, bullying, constant layoffs, and unclear direction made it a stressful and unsatisfying work environment. If you don't consider my advice, PLEASE note that HR is NOT going to be on your side, whatsoever when you voice your frustrations and the bullying by management. :-( I'm looking to get out of here STAT!
