Pros

Some nice people Not many though

Cons

- HORRIBLE pay for the skill, attitude, responsibility, and effort. - have to do things with patients that many are not comfortable with doing as entry level -Minimal training for what is expected , vulnerable to repeated verbal abuse when they don’t know the answer to a question or do something wrong with a patient - patients don’t expect to work half of their appointment with a college student. All of a sudden you’re responsible for a 96 year old with a fall risk???? For $15/hr?????? - employees are cold and straight up rude -aides do so much for the company with very little thanks, respect, or compensation. Barely train the aides then tell us we suck at our job - schedules change last minute without you having any say (example is I made a commitment to take care of someone’s children after the schedules were released then they changed the schedule with no heads- up or asking. Or being scheduled to work at the front desk multiple shifts without asking in advance or training - large amount of knowledge, quick thinking, social endurance required -power hungry , out of touch director who pockets all the money

Pros

Amazing support and mentorship to build as a clinic leader. Great opportunities for advancement and to become a Shareholder of the company. Leadership has a close, family type of connection and employee’s wellness and quality of life are always a big consideration in decision making. All clinic leaders are full time PTs which is good for the moral of the clinic (no “silent” partner making money and not pulling their weight).

Cons

Pathway to Shareholder can be a long and difficult path which depends on your clinic location, clientele, and your ability to network and show value in ways other than financial success. At times as a clinic leader, you have to wear 15 different hats while still being a full time clinician. Work life balance is hard for some in this position.
