Pros

Provide great therapy for clients with individualized goals Supportive BCBAs who are always there to help and answer questions RBTs also support each other and have good teamwork Good health insurance Retirement matching

Cons

Home office makes major changes that greatly effect how RBTs do their jobs but don't consult them on any of them Randomly tried to extend our hours to be 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and 9-1 on Saturdays without seeing if RBTs actually wanted to work those hours. What about work life balance??? Seemingly the only guaranteed raises are with promotions and don't keep up with cost of living, generally only 50 cents an hour more Seem to only value RBTs that want to be BCBAs or go into administrative positions Don't close for dangerous weather, even if only 3 kids come in for a few hours that day

Pros

- Access to Dr. Crone and Treatment leadership collaboration is readily available. BCBAs don't live on an island. -Eagerness to support patient/family needs to impact progress with skill acquisition and successful transitions to school/vocational environments. -Expressed values (We put patients first, we are better together, we make therapy fun, and above all we grow potential) are applied versus only vocalized. I love working with a team of individuals that really do care and will do whatever we can to make good choices for patients and staff. -Significant efforts are in motion to nurture and foster RBTs and BCBAs with ability to have the best of both worlds (happy work and personal lives). -We have VERY talented, fun, and committed staff.

Cons

-Not a con... but happiness/success in this field typically requires open-minded motivation to learn and ability to adapt to changes in treatment needs with flexibility.

High base salaries. Ample opportunities for NET.

Cons

-Virtually absent structured onboarding for BCBAs. -Inadequate systems and software for programming and data analysis. -No regular off the floor training for RBTs, client team trainings are one and done in 30 minutes after operations (not CD) approval. -Clinical recommendations and overall BCBA expertise is negligible in value to the organization. -Sweeping changes repeatedly occur that affect treatment without consulting or collaborating with BCBAs. -Condescending micromanagement and inflexibility with schedule, no work from home. -Non responsive HR
