Thank you for taking the time to write a review of Thomas Cuisine. It would seem we have not met the mark with you and I'd like to acknowledge that and also address some things you mentioned in the "Cons" section of your review.
Thomas Cuisine has focused a lot of attention/effort over the last several years to cultivate a more inclusive and diverse group of leaders. These leaders have been fostering extremely healthy and productive working relationships that encourage productive conflict and dissenting opinions. Misogyny has ZERO room in our culture and is simply not tolerated. I strongly encourage any employee who feels they are being subjugated to contact our ethics hotline at 208-884-8760.
Also, let's please remember that diversity is not just about color. Diversity encompasses the range of similarities and differences that each of us brings to the workplace, including national origin, language, race, color, disability, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and family structures.
I'd like to point out that our Board Chairperson is a woman. Our CEO, Alison Patt is a woman. Our Senior Vice President of Operations, Lynn Daily is a woman. Our VP of Learning and Engagement, Valerie Maguire is a woman. Our CFO, Nick Kreiger is a Veteran of the United States Marines. Our Home Office Finance, IT, and Marketing Departments have several leaders or team members who were not born in the United States. And our District and Multi-Site Managers are made up of a group of leaders with differing backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, religions, races, etc.
In fact, our company as a whole is made up of people from different cultures, races, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations - and we are a stronger company because of it! It's not an accurate picture, nor is it fair to simply point to a C-suite (which we never refer to as such) and imply there is misogyny or a lack of diversity because there are no "persons of color" on the Executive Leadership Team. Thomas Cuisine is 100% dedicated to cultivating a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive workforce - and that is represented by our actions 24/7 and 365 days a year.
Let me be clear, Thomas Cuisine is by no means a perfect organization. We make mistakes (and we try to fix them). I understand being disappointed in a company and choosing to leave them, but I hope that we can keep the feedback fair and accurate.
