Pros

Some staff are kind, but that is it.

Cons

Doctor's don't admit patients, so you get a large amount of admissions come in that have no business being admitted. Also they will bring admits to the unit at 1800-1845 right when you are about to get off your shift and you are expected to finish the admission. Management is awful at their jobs, their is no organization and staffing is a nightmare. There where shifts where they ask you to go to another unit and then after a few hours you have to return to your first unit, all during a single shift. Nurse to patient ratio is almost always 1:30, absolutely unsafe. They still operate with paper charting, it creates a complete mess with organization. They will have Covid positive patients and do not have N95 masks available. When I asked my manager about it she just responded that they didn't have any available. Pt's who walk in are not tested for Covid either which puts staff and patients at risk. No security is used, you have to deal with violent pt's completely by yourself.
