Pros

Pay is pretty good and reasonable benefits. The mission is great - if the company can figure out how to deliver on it. Despite leaving a pretty negative review, I want this company to succeed on its merits, because if it does that means it is helping people.

Cons

Thrive is incredibly disorganized, to the extent that it is really hard to explain. I have not ever experienced the complete lack of planning and organization like this in my career. There is no vision from the top for the product. Senior suite focuses on minutiae like copy editing while we have no clear product roadmap. To the extent that planning exists, it tends to get thrown away and started over every few months. There is a constant promise that things will improve in a few months and somehow "this time will be different", but the chaos always continues. Turnover is the highest I've seen in my career. Senior management is frequently fired or leaves. There is very little continuity. It is a constant firefight to try and catch all the balls that were dropped from the last departure. Problems fester until they blow up because no one can consistently own anything due to all of the turnover. Because of all of the above, the product is poor. MVPs are shipped and never improved. Lots of work is thrown away or re-done 6 months later.

Thank you for these comments. At Thrive, we set priorities based on what’s best for our product and what we hear from our customers. The story we tell and the words we use are not minutiae — they are fundamental to the user experience and what differentiates us from other products. We are not alone in this. At some of the top companies in the world who we are partnering with, the narrative is driving the product needs. We believe in sharing concerns and ideas with compassionate directness, so we are always open to hearing ideas about how we might use time more productively and deliver on a mission that is more relevant than ever.

Pros

Working at Thrive Global has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career. I’ve had the opportunity to work cross-functionally with smart, passionate teams who care deeply about both business performance and human well-being. There’s a strong focus on innovation, especially around using AI to democratize access to behavior change and expert-level coaching, which makes the work feel cutting-edge and meaningful. Thrive strikes a rare balance: we move fast and iterate constantly, but we also respect boundaries, recovery, and taking time to reset. That makes this a sustainable place to do ambitious work — a rarity in the startup and health tech worlds.

Cons

As with any fast-growing company, priorities shift quickly. This environment is best suited for self-starters who are energized by building things from the ground up and don’t need rigid structure to thrive.

Pros

Benefits are great, pay is above average

Cons

Absolute worst company I have every worked for. Nepotism is high, environment follows high-school politics. Instead of focusing on the product (which changes every 6 months) the focus is on the CEO and her needs as an individual. Micro-management to the Nth degree, they employ smart people and then wear them down with pettiness. Promotions are arbitrary and dependent on if your liked, not how well you perform.
