Cons
Don't be fooled by the positive reviews posted by the Members Services Supervisors. It's very apparent they were asked to write positive reviews for the most asinine department out of the whole company. Actually, the department isn't asinine but the people leading the department are. There's a lack of professionalism from upper management. You are literally being watched like children and then if you get out of line for going to the bathroom or getting water, it's recorded in an observation log --this is micromanagement on a completely different level. Supervisors are literally told to watch their teams for behavior issues. Instead of focusing on business issues, employee behavioral issues are the priories because uppermangement doesn't have a clue what they are doing. It really just seems like they are out to get you. Any suggestions or complaints are fallen on deaf ears. Members services isn't treated as if it's a part of Thrive. Company events? Don't even think about attending. They take away all of these privileges but expect the department to do "mandatory" overtime --which is against labor laws. Overtime is never mandatory, it's voluntary. If you're going to take, you also need to give. Taking time off? You have to fight tooth and nail for it even if you ask weeks, sometimes months in advance. Why give us vacation time of we're not allowed to use it? Need to take time off during "blackout dates?" Expect to be giving points and written up. Sick? Points and spoken to. Unexpected emergency? Points. Completely ridiculous and such a joke. Absolutely no room for growth. Why hire outsiders when there is so much talent within the company? Due to this department, Thrive Market is losing smart and talented people who could make a real difference in the future of the company. Really unfortunate because the mission of this company is great and has so much potential.
