Pros

If you are full-time, you get an influx of clients after a few months.

Cons

You are told that you only need a certain amount of hours open to receive health insurance and benefits only to find out that is a lie and you have to have those slots filled. They told me 25 hours needed to be open and lied and it ended up being 25 clients needed to be booked every week when you don’t even control booking clients they are the ones who bring the clients in so they don’t fill your schedule and then punish you by taking away your benefits and put you on probation. Not good for somebody who needs this for children. Clients can book an appointment within two hours, which if you like flexibility this takes it away because you have to continuously block off time if you want any time off and their calendar doesn’t work with Google nor can you access their calendar from your phone so you need to be in front of a computer to log into advanced MD in order to switch your calendars around. You also cannot change your availability without their permission so when you say you have hours open unless they’re open on their end, they do not count. You’re literally a slave to when clients want to see you. Did I mention it doesn’t connect with Google Calendar so anytime you have something going on you have to go into their calendar and block it off otherwise you will be double booked and it is frustrating and stressful. You will be told about benefits and bonuses, but they don’t fit their narrative. I was cross licensed and it took them longer than expected to get my license complete because they kept saying they didn’t have information so I would keep forwarding my sent emails with the information back to them and then when they finally had me credentialed, I had started to get clients and they told me I didn’t have enough clients to maintain my benefits, which was their fault so they cut off my health insurance. They also informed me of them cutting off my insurance after I was on probation for two weeks and had no idea I was even on probation at that time so I had no way to even fix it and I only had four more weeks left to fix six weeks of a schedule when two weeks had already passed. It’s like they purposely want you to not get benefits so they don’t have to pay them out. We can say it was miscommunication, but I believe it’s misleading and lies because I asked two different people about the benefits and both told me you just need this amount of hours open per week only to find out that was a lie I had to have those filled and why is it my fault when I’m not the one who finds the clients or fills my schedule, they do! Also, unless you are a new clinician, their system is very meticulous. It is set up for somebody that doesn’t know how to handle a session and if you’ve been doing this for years or decades, you will find it very frustrating as the intake process is very informal and clients have complained about that. Also, when you schedule you have to put the time in three different spots to make sure that the appointment goes through and it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s just way too much work way too much micromanaging and isn’t very good for somebody. Who’s been doing this for a long time. Don’t go full-time if you use this place because your benefits will be taken away from you faster than you’ve even had them. The training is also ridiculous. Literally one of the options for an answer to a HIPAA training course was sit down and put my dog or ask my cat. And the guy is dressed like Batman. It is completely ridiculous. It is very childlike and unprofessional if you ask me.
