Pros

I started with the company as a newly licensed therapist and was able to work my way all the way up to senior management in under 7 years, so there are lots of opportunities for advancement. If you have a "make it happen" attitude you can go very far with this company. If you are a go-getter, you will have the opportunity to have your ideas listened to and sometimes put in place, which is pretty cool to feel like you're making a difference and are a part of something bigger than yourself. There are lots of ways to make extra money and they reward their employee's with excellent pay, incentives, benefits, a high degree of autonomy, flexibility, and positive reinforcement for a job well-done. It is very fulfilling work and if you work hard you will be very fulfilled in knowing that you are working on a mission to help others. They are also reinventing the way that the country seeks mental health services and solving both a customer service problem happening in the mental health industry and a lack of employment opportunities for licensed clinicians in the private practice field, so it's great that they are growing.

Cons

Some of the jobs at HQ are tough and can lead to burn out, so the company tries to make it a really fun place to work to combat this. It's really just the nature of the beast, but they do all they can. It's just tough on everyone when there is turnover. Also, this is not really a con, but you will be held accountable if you don't follow through on things you say you will do. However, that's truly how it should be. We are all here to work. If you want a job where you can just play on the internet, this is not the place for you, but if you want to work, people will notice.

Thanks so much for sharing this! We're glad to hear that you've had such a positive experience building your caseload and support from your supervisor. We're actively working to streamline the tools clinicians have to juggle day to day. If you have feedback to share, please pass it along to your RCD — we'd love to hear it. Thanks for being part of the Thriveworks team!

Pros

Being able to provide therapy that helps clients achieve goals and improved functioning; scheduling flexibility; remote and in-office; offers benefits, such as insurance and 401K.

Cons

Company has changed to a corporate focus with financial gain being emphasized; leave is insufficient for clinicians; fee for service pay that does not compensate for admin work; removed management; billing and support department issues.
