This company is a mess. First of all, they underpay their clinicians to a ridiculous degree. Each hour session has a flat rate which is paid out to the clinician. It is LESS THAN half of what the insurance companies are reimbursing. To earn adequate income, you’d have to meet with at least ten clients a day. All clinicians know that that is terrible practice and a very good recipe for immediate burnout. In addition, there are TERRIBLE benefits here. Their 401k program has a match which you will never receive unless you have worked there for at least 7 years. Insane. They will give you ONE HOUR of PTO per every THIRTY HOURS WORKED. Also insane. Just pathetic. If you do end up taking vacation, you end up working through it just so you can pay your mortgage and your bills. Another recipe for immediate burnout. Lastly, upper management is just awful. The billing department is practically non-existent. They don’t answer the phone nor return emails. This leaves both clinicians and clients upset. The “site directors” who are supposed to oversee the offices are inaccessible. I don’t even have a telephone number for my current site director, nor have I met her. If you have an emergency with a client, you are left out on an island to deal with it without any support nor anyone even to call. The offices lack even basic necessities like functioning computers and office supplies. They have no microwaves nor refrigerators to store or heat up a lunch. Yet the CEO is constantly encouraging the clinicians to go back onsite, after most went remote through the pandemic. This company is extremely unstable. If you have a salaried position with PTO and benefits, hold onto it. I left my last (stable) position to shift here and try something different. I have regretted it every day since.
