Pros
I have worked at Thriveworks as a clinician since December 2018. I highly recommend a career with this company. I love that management is there to support you, if you need it, but they do NOT micromanage you. Thriveworks allows us to practice as the professionals that we are. As clinicians, we make our own schedules, completely. As for obtaining new clients, we just inform our Regional Clinical Director (RCD) that we are available to take X amount of clients, and typically I have those new client intakes within 24 hours. Our offices are beautiful. We have the choice to work a hybrid in-office and telehealth model. Some therapists, like myself, never left the in person setting during COVID, and I found Thriveworks to be supportive in that regard as well supportive to providers that chose to remain remote. Thriveworks does ALL of the legwork to get your credentialing on insurance panels, and I found they were able to do so pretty quickly. Once I was paneled to accept insurance, my caseload stayed full. Benefits are EXCELLENT, and in 2023, Thriveworks increased employee benefits even more. Benefits: 1. Full-time employees with one year of tenure at Thriveworks are eligible for 8 weeks of paid leave following the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child (New 2023 benefit) 2. Full-time clinicians are eligible for tiered student loan repayment assistance (New 2023 benefit) .Payments are made each pay period directly to our loan institution through BenefitEd.- AMAZING Benefit that pretty much covers my full loan payment. 3. Waived Mental Healthcare Costs- For employees on the PPO plan, there is no out-of-pocket cost. 4. Medical, Dental, Extended Dental covering orthodontics, Vision Benefits are covered at 75% of employee premiums and 50% of dependent premiums (Improved 2023 benefit). 5. 3 paid days (annually) of Mental Health PTO (Improved 2023 benefit) 6. We have the incredible option to contribute to a Vanguard 401k with a 3% match from the company. This is almost unheard of in this type of clinical practice setting. 7. Clinicians accrue 1 hour of PTO/ 30 clinical hours worked. 8. Paid Liability Insurance 9. 100% Employee Paid Benefits: Short-Term Disability; Long-term Disability; Critical Illness; Accident Insurance; Voluntary Term Life and AD&D Insurance; Life Insurance 100% Employer Paid Benefit = 100% of annual salary (max $150K)- 10. Continuing Education: Reimbursement up to $200 for Full-Time Clinicians & $100 for Part-Time Clinicians Provided you want Insurance Benefits, Thriveworks offers benefits to all clinicians that see a minimum of 50 clients in 2 weeks. And to restate- Obtaining clients is NOT an issue. You can also cash out your PTO at then end of each year, if you so choose. Regarding Pay: I find the pay reimbursement to be excellent, and I love that Thriveworks seem to increase therapists' pay with or above the market rate to remain competitive. I also like that I have the choice to see an extra client or 2 if I need the money or just have extra time to do so. Bonuses: We receive bonuses for completing our notes on time!!! Our pay also increases by percentage according to how many clients I choose to see. For example, should I choose to see 40 clients per week, Thriveworks gives us an extra 11% pay increase. Quality of Providers: Thriveworks hires the most qualified clinicians. It's really nice to work with high quality providers. Thriveworks' Clients: I think that I have the most quality clients that are dedicated to their growth. It is RARE that I only see a client 1-2 times. Clients stay, and I can only imagine that has to do with the quality of providers hired. I do truly appreciate Thriveworks and the awesome opportunity it continues to give me. I am certain that I have left some additional 'Pro" aspect of Thriveworks out, but I hope my general message is clear.
Cons
Potential "Con:" While I personally do NOT, in the least, consider the independence therapists are given to be a "Con, " I do understand that some professionals may prefer or require much more hands-on guidance. Nonetheless, Thriveworks always has someone for you to reach out to that will get back with you ASAP if you need support.
