Pros

Tinuiti was once a stand-out agency with industry-leading benefits and a people-first culture. A few things Tinuiti still has going for it: 1. Tinuiti is full of talented, committed people. Some of the kindest, low-ego people I've ever worked with are here. 2. The executive team is super approachable, transparent about company financials, has a clear vision for the future, and holds a strong commitment to DE&I. That's more than a lot of agencies can say. 3. It's nice to work for a company where remote work will be the standard going forward. Ultimately, Tinuiti is better than a lot of jobs out there. It's a decent enough place to start a career in digital marketing if you're okay with low pay, you're fine with working weekends and holidays, and you don't have a family to take care of. If you're right out of college, this is a good place to build your portfolio then move on to something more mature.

Cons

...but if you're reading this, you're probably looking at other big agencies and leading tech companies that all offer exactly what Tinuiti does, but better. Tinuiti no longer offers employees the benefits, compensation, or culture they need to stay. This is leading to massive churn on both the people and client side. A lot of the things that made Tinuiti great are either: a) standard in our industry post-COVID (remote work, flexible hours) b) gone completely (internet reimbursement, employer-paid healthcare plans) c) or never existed in the first place (unlimited PTO, mandatory mental health days, Summer Fridays) The people-first culture that Tinuiti preaches is all talk and no action. I can't speak for all teams, but my experience on the creative team was one of the worst of my entire career. The gaslighting that happens from management is insulting and angering. At multiple points during the pandemic when my team brought forward issues of unsustainable hours that were affecting the quality of work for our clients, we were told by our manager that we were "Lucky to even have a job right now." Ultimately, yes—Tinuiti is a business and needs to do what's necessary to stay afloat. But at the expense of your people?

Pros

- Leadership genuinely wants what's best for the people who work here. - Steadily growing business that's expanding into new service lines and ramping up its tech stack. - Remote work allows for a lot of flexibility. Managers are very understanding of family needs. - Excellent benefits - 4% 401K matching, good salaries, bonus potential

Cons

- It's a big agency now and that means some parts of how we interact have had to change. I think that's been harder on some other Tinuiti employees than myself, but it is a real thing and people who prefer smaller agencies might be turned off. - It's a competitive industry right now and that means that we're not growing as fast as we were a few years ago, so the financial incentives aren't as generous as they were when the company could afford to pay big bonuses.
