They do provide good pay for mechanics. No flag hours but a percentage of the total ticket parts and labor. No one else even thinks about paying mechanics parts too. If you're a mechanic and can't make money here you either aren't that good or aren't motivated to look over every car even if it is a flat repair. (maybe they NEED brakes or an axle boot is torn.) Sales can make good money after tenure and you have a customer base. Yes, it's 7.50/hr but the commission adds up quick. It is easy to make 500 plus dollars in only commission a week when you have clientele. Management can be paid very well if they run the store well and are profitable. The guy that stated no benefits I guess can't read. I have better benefits than any dealer I was a service adviser for. Insurance, 401k and all. I worked my way up from the bottom and now after college I am paid usually 2x more than those I graduated with.
