Pros

- Used to be a great company - Incredible talent with core team members, but unfortunately they were laid off

Cons

- CEO, Taso, does not trust his leaders and prefers to be ill informed making knee jerk decisions with far reaching consequences that negatively impact the customer experience - CEO does not understand (nor seeks to understand) how to properly mature and scale a company. He continually looks for “silver bullet” solutions based on minimal research, which explains such a high turnover with the C-level team - CEO needs to be held accountable by a Board of Directors. His behaviors and “leadership” is appalling, and he has proven he’s unable to sustain a long-term vision for growth.

Pros

Met some good dedicated employees and freelance workers.

Cons

Lack of any real industry solutions or capabilities since 100% of delivery services are freelance contractors. Model has been successful as providing staff augmentation to clients, but all intellectual capital and outcomes are owned by the clients or the freelancer. Toptal is simply a staffing platform broker who marks up the freelance talent. Great if you need a plumber, but not if you're planning to build a bathroom.
