New executive management every 3-5 years with changes Business unit managers that have no idea how the businesses that they sell into operate. Expectation of all employees to put company before personal life (very Japanese style). Very little if any marketing or promotional efforts outside of Japan. R&D has been slow to react to market conditions and competition. There is way too much attention to minutia and not enough attention to competition.
