Pros
As a salaried manager, you have a steady income and benefits to include 401K, medical, dental, vision, and bonus opportunities.
Cons
High pressure to meet unrealistic goals which gives you the feeling, if you don't meet those goals, you will lose your job. As a Manager, your told to hire more associates your budget can support, then you are reprimanded for exceeding hours. While you are being told to cut back on hours, the company extends store operating hours, increases the daily work load beyond capacity, and expects you to have certain number of associates working at specific times but when you add up all the hours you are "told" to use, you find yourself over hours. This is a recipe for failure. I was working 12 to 14 hours a day 6 to 7 days a week to try to meet the company's expectations but it was never enough.
