Pros

* There are good people who work at the company. * Valuable place to gain some experience if your starting out or simply need a job. * The work that is done can be interesting at times. * They have a great benefits package. * Allow for fully remote positions (since the COVID crisis)

Cons

* They underpay and overwork their employees. This can't be stressed enough. * Loyal employees are under valued - prefer recruiting people with different experiences, but when those people get hired they can't handle the job effectively and you end up doing the work for them. * Career pathing is a joke. They had a newly created plan before I left that looks good on paper, but has many holes in it on how to truly advance. They also drop high level executives into lower roles that they have very limited experience in, thus taking opportunity away from people who deserve the positions. * A massive amount of long term employees left over the past year, losing a HUGE knowledge base * Claims to be a tech driven company, but decisions are truly made through a sales lens with lack of innovation, top down management, and focus on feature delivery * Technology is out of date because tech debt is never taken seriously. Projects end up being created to address the problems at the very last minute, putting the pressure on the employees to fix them in a limited timeframe

Pros

Leadership is accessible and open to feedback, even during fast‑moving initiatives. Smart, supportive colleagues who genuinely care about the work and the customers. Strong commitment to cross‑team collaboration, especially between Marketing, Content, Product, and Insights

Cons

Prioritization can shift quickly, which sometimes creates rework or unclear direction. Resource constraints can slow down execution on larger initiatives. Some decisions feel reactive rather than planned, which affects long‑term execution.

Pros

- Strong Compensation Perks: Excellent benefits package, including solid RRSP matching and a competitive PTO policy. - Talented Colleagues: You will work alongside highly intelligent, capable engineers and a very supportive middle management team. - Base Culture: When left to operate remotely, the day-to-day team culture is genuinely great.

Cons

- "False Remote" Expectations: Despite advertising a remote culture, there is heavy, unspoken pressure to be in the office. This is especially frustrating and illogical when your direct reports and teams are based in other countries, meaning you commute just to sit on video calls. - Imbalanced Executive Leadership: Product and Engineering both roll up to a single leader whose background is primarily in sales. This creates a systemic imbalance where product feature delivery is consistently prioritized over engineering health, technical debt reduction, and architectural stability. - Engineering Bottlenecks: Because of the leadership focus, the tech stack suffers. The codebase is deeply coupled and shared across multiple teams, creating a monolithic structure. Because releases are complicated and heavily reliant on manual QA work rather than automated testing, the organization is bottlenecked to only two scheduled releases per week.
