Pros

- Collaborative environment, great managers and employees in all departments that like to answer questions and help where it is needed - Supportive and dedicated colleagues and management - California casual work environment, relaxed attitude about dress code :) - Multilingual and multicultural team, with headquarters in the Netherlands and office in Mexico and operations worldwide, you'll get exposed to lots of languages and cultures - The company is constantly working at being more sustainable and socially responsible in sourcing and packaging, and spearheading social programs in underserved communities across the world! - Great benefits: medical, dental, 401(k) match, and pre-COVID, super fun team building activities each quarter and free organic and healthy lunches 2x a week

Cons

- Heavy, demanding workload for all employees - You have to protect your work/life balance and have no shame if you decide to leave at 5PM - A high turnover rate of employees, especially entry and mid-level, which keeps the individual workload heavy - Low pay considering the stress level, workload, and local cost of living

Pros

Growing company and constantly evolving, so exciting in that regard. Co-workers are friendly and helpful. Managers are provided with the unique experience of truly managing a book of business from day-to-day operations to long-term commercial planning. Company is over-exceeding expectations, in terms of revenue, profit and margin within the past two years running.

Cons

Salary for the amount of stress is OK - could be better. Bonus structure is low and vanilla in nature. Hours can be long and company structure is not your traditional trade house, which complicates things and creates delays. Long-term vision from hierarchy can be confrontational to the day-to-day requirements and necessities of a commodity/ingredient book. Ingredient book needs constant supervision when integrating lower-level employees responsible for operational needs. Certain days and weeks can be very stressful, constantly plugging holes or scraping by.

Pros

Good people, fun atmosphere and ability to learn a lot.

Cons

Extremely low pay compared to market rate. Will hire new employees for 30-40K more than existing ones for less experience and same job, Refuse to pay employees who show loyalty to company. If you want more pay, you have to leave and come back.
