Pros

Culture: About as real as you can get in a corporate environment. I enjoyed having real relationships with my coworkers and not having to fake smile every few minutes and pretend like everything's going well when it isn't like I have had to with some other companies. Benefits: They are actually better than average for Tampa Bay. Paid VTO. :) Self-driven career: My bosses would let me take on any relevant projects that I wanted to after my regular work was done.

Cons

Bureaucracy: There's an official chain of sign offs just to get a minimal amount of RAM added to your computer. Lots of red tape involved with IT upgrades. Contract hiring: Because the company is at the mercy of the market and never really seems to know where its workforce needs to be 6 months out, there is a lot of contract hiring within certain departments. It's always awkward when talking to your coworkers who are contractors and don't have any benefits and are probably paid less than you. It makes the work environment somewhat tense. Career Mobility: Most job openings are in Cedar Rapids, Iowa without an option to work remote 100% of the time. Too bad I don't want to hang out in frozen corn fields to advance my career. My bad??

Pros

It all depends on the are you work in the company, but you can get a really supportive manager.

Cons

1. They give you a job description and then add responsibilities without pay. Especially when it comes to phones. Been in 2 departments and they both promised minimal phone calls in the positions and then continued to force the teams to take overflow calls. 2. They don’t reign in the micromanagers.
