Pros

Great pay, great training, great autonomy. Due to the remote medicine your scope of practice expands and you are able to do sutures, administer antibiotics and steroids (through a Dr. on call).

Cons

Typical shifts are two months out to sea, one month home. Total days to sea a year are minimum of 150 but typically around 200

A lot of favoritism and racism going on. Management is unprofessional and lies a lot.
