Pros

Co workers, work schedule flexibility

Cons

Old, Old technology and no workable plan to improve technology and move the company forward. CPSI purchased Healthland back in 2015, and the line from CPSI mgmt was that there was an actual strategy to gradually move CPSI Thrive and Healthland Centriq EHRs onto the same platform. There isn't and never will be. Thrive is a cobbled together mess of applications with no workflow that is a bug-ridden mess (Java wrapped COBOL!). Centriq has its own issues to be sure, but the technology and workflow is so much better. Nevertheless, CPSI's strategy is to slowly suffocate Centriq and go all in selling Thrive. Leadership is not making decisions to get the company stable and profitable - they are making emotional decisions to keep the Mobile location as the primary hub even though Thrive is a dumpster fire that takes armies of people to maintain because it's so obsolete. CPSI bought Healthland for the customers and to get rid of a competitor, but have no means of migrating these customers on to Thrive - users have outright refused and would leave CPSI and find another solution before even thinking about using Thrive. There is no accountability for management (particularly the technology leadership at both Healthland and CPSI locations -- utter rubbish. No leadership or decision making capabilities.)

Pros

This is a great place for beginners in the IT space.

Cons

I was a Network Admin II and was paid WELL BELOW the national average. My direct management tree was not forthcoming with teaching. Most of what I learned came from co-workers, or I had to research the answers on my own.
