Pros

-Remote work -Paid sabbatical -Free insurance for 1 pet

Cons

- Absolutely no transparency. Even after several years, I have no idea what the salary range for my position is. They keep giving super vague information, saying some tasks may vary per person and so do the wages etc. - Horrible short/long term disability. No care in the world for their employees well-being, even during a life crisis. - If you speak your mind about what could be improved or point out their lack of action in situations that cost the company a lot of money for no reason at all, which greatly impacts their members premiums, you are seen as a troublemaker and they will start to dig up whatever they can on you to dispose of you. - They just started to give annual raises in 2025, which are a big fat joke because even if you are a top performer, you could still be considered as meeting the expectations (only). Even if you meet the expectations, you could still get as low as a 1% raise. And despite the tiny raise on your base salary, they keep cutting on our bonuses so in the end, your salary keeps going down. - Impossible to move up the chain. People with no or little experience gets promoted before you do. No explaination given. Not even a feedback on your interview. I guess you either need contacts and/or never question management decisions (even when they make no sense at all). - RSU's price continues to tank due to poor management decisions. I would have more to say but these are the main cons.

Pros

Front-line employees are really great. Everyone seems to be aligned with the mission of helping pet-loving pet-parents care for their dogs and cats. PTO is good and typical schedules are very flexible in most departments. Strong DEI guidelines that were enacted many years ago.

Cons

Senior leadership in IT has fallen through the floor in recent years, leading more with intimidation rather than motivation or inspiration, leading to extremely low morale. Just in the first half 2026, there have been about 10 departures from the engineering org. Insurance is fine for employee only, but adding spouse and children gets VERY expensive. Pay is mediocre.
