Pros

Kind people, pets in the office everyday. Fun activities.

Cons

Trupanion wrongfully terminated me after working there for 2 years. I was having serious health issues and they did not offer me any resources for job security. I was a dedicated and passionate employee and they fired me on 7/12/2019 over the phone. I was working that morning and was so sick I could not finish my shift that day, the next day I was in the hospital for two weeks and underwent multiple surgeries. I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease, severe hyperthyroidism. I told my employer months prior to this that I was having health issues and under going tests. No resources were offered.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am disheartened to hear that you did not feel supported in taking care of your health during your time at Trupanion and I take your comments very seriously. At Trupanion, we believe in taking care of each other, and we offer benefits and resources to help team members care for themselves and their families. Our company values and policies also do not tolerate discrimination or retaliation of any kind. You don't mention if you were able to connect with the People Operations team while you were at Trupanion, but I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your review further. You can contact me directly at Valerie.Danna@Trupanion.com. ~Valerie Danna, Head of People Operations

Pros

Very good benefits, especially PTO / Great coworkers with shared "values" (outside of upper mgmt) / Remote Help pets every day

Cons

The co has become another typical corporate greed - no longer cares about customer or staff experience, only the bottom line. Charges premium prices for not so premium insurance, with progressive cut backs in coverage yet continuous policy increases in much too large of percentage (as an employee, I could never afford my own plan). They used to be fantastic, progressive and all-inclusive. Now they keep hide their true behaviors behind a cloak of "transparency" and have lost sight of their own values.
