Pros

You can wear your pajamas to work and swear like a sailor. This would be a GREAT company if you've already achieved everything you want in your career, no cost of living concerns, and just want to meet a bunch of cool people and pets.

Cons

Salary is dismal, especially if you work in a department not directly related to revenue generation. No internal development program for employees that want to do more than just manage a team. If you possess any level of competence and self-motivation, inevitably you will have it ground out of you due to the lack of resources and availability of management. No annual performance reviews (at least in my department) and stock options are offered in lieu of raises. This company uses culture and non-compensation based benefits as a smoke-screen to keep people from balking at the operational chaos that ensues day in and day out. Process is regarded with almost complete disdain from our CEO and Chief STRATEGY Officer, which results in a lot of confusion and a lot of unnecessary stress that doesn't ever directly touch them. A lot of reviews chalk these problems up to "new company growing pains" but this company is almost 20 years old.

Pros

Very good benefits, especially PTO / Great coworkers with shared "values" (outside of upper mgmt) / Remote Help pets every day

Cons

The co has become another typical corporate greed - no longer cares about customer or staff experience, only the bottom line. Charges premium prices for not so premium insurance, with progressive cut backs in coverage yet continuous policy increases in much too large of percentage (as an employee, I could never afford my own plan). They used to be fantastic, progressive and all-inclusive. Now they keep hide their true behaviors behind a cloak of "transparency" and have lost sight of their own values.
