Pros

They really take care of you at Trupanion. Full medical, really generous RSU’s, on site childcare with AMAZING teachers, one whole month of PTO every year., maternity leave, and a sabbatical after 5 years . When the office is fully open we have a ton of pets and a ton of fun!! We have a GREAT team on the sales team . Plus the company is growing like crazy, saving more pets every day. I could not work at a cooler company, seriously.

Cons

We are slowly making the change from a pretty flat organizational structure to a more hierarchical structure, which is natural when companies grow. We have some growing pains with many needed positions being created. Overall communication with most people being remote can be challenging, ( for everyone in Covid times, so not shocking) our IT team has done tremendous work getting us all remote, however I do think more focus needs to be put on our digital transformation as a whole for us to keep on staying relevant.

Thank you for this awesome review! I am glad to hear from someone who is using our daycare benefit! I'm also looking forward to when we can return to the office in the future and we'll be back before we know it! When it comes to communication with a growing company, I hear you. I am happy to update you that we are currently hiring more headcount for the Internal Comms team to help them scale with the company. If you have any further insight you would like to share, please feel free to email recruiting@trupanion.com.

Pros

Very good benefits, especially PTO / Great coworkers with shared "values" (outside of upper mgmt) / Remote Help pets every day

Cons

The co has become another typical corporate greed - no longer cares about customer or staff experience, only the bottom line. Charges premium prices for not so premium insurance, with progressive cut backs in coverage yet continuous policy increases in much too large of percentage (as an employee, I could never afford my own plan). They used to be fantastic, progressive and all-inclusive. Now they keep hide their true behaviors behind a cloak of "transparency" and have lost sight of their own values.
