Pros

You get to talk about pets all day. Money is ok if you're young and green. Great benefits package. Ability to work remote.

Cons

Toxic "woke" culture disguised as virtuous and inclusive. Everyone is young and not well-educated or experienced. Children teaching children. Training was WAY too long and felt like being at kindergarten. Terribly rude and often unhappy clientele. Lots of tech, organization and management issues. Money isn't what they claim it will be and you get penalized A LOT. Retention sucks. They claim flexible schedule yet it's anything but. Ridiculous hours with little flexibility. Lots of inconsistencies and dishonesty. It's a work from home, and not a true remote position as you need to be connected to LAN and have 2 giant screens. Another thing that was misleading during the interview and hiring process.

I am glad to hear that in your time with us, you did enjoy the benefits and compensation, but there were a few other issues in your time here. Your feedback regarding schedule flexibility in the contact center setting has been heard and we are working to improve our schedule selection process and time off policies so that everyone can fully utilize our great benefits. If you have further feedback you would like to share in a confidential setting, please out to our Senior Director, People and Talent at Jennifer.Hernandez@Trupanion.com.

Pros

Very good benefits, especially PTO / Great coworkers with shared "values" (outside of upper mgmt) / Remote Help pets every day

Cons

The co has become another typical corporate greed - no longer cares about customer or staff experience, only the bottom line. Charges premium prices for not so premium insurance, with progressive cut backs in coverage yet continuous policy increases in much too large of percentage (as an employee, I could never afford my own plan). They used to be fantastic, progressive and all-inclusive. Now they keep hide their true behaviors behind a cloak of "transparency" and have lost sight of their own values.
