Pros

fun/extravagant outings, eclectic mix of folks

Cons

- CEO is a micromanager - no empathy from management/ceo (rather oblivious to employee happiness/loyalty - ceo has favorites - people are let go without warning - based on how management/ceo feels about him/her - no transparency - no mentorship - toxic work environment - inflexible work hours, lunch provided but you are expected to work through the day - ceo's way or the highway, any pushback or open discussion is looked down upon - ceo will have his 'flavor of the week' and forget about the project soon after (even after work has been done) - no training on new features, no sprint schedule. more so release a feature and have support and customer facing people deal with it - bad leadership - "unlimited PTO policy" now restrictive and monitored (illegal) - one product has decreasing market value, other product doesn't have a go to market strategy - very transactional role

Products At TrustedSite we sell two products, McAfee SECURE website security and TrustedSite Reviews, both are growing nicely. We sell direct to mid-market companies with ecommerce websites as well as to small companies hosted on website platforms. Both products provide increased conversion (sales) for ecommerce websites by ensuring the sites are secure and thru buyer positive reviewers. Managers/Mentorship At the time this review was written we didn’t have enough managers with experience. We have since added experienced managers for all teams who have weekly 1:1 meetings with each employee to ensure a positive two way feedback on the employee and company experience. Transparency We’ve had monthly meetings since we started four years ago reviewing results with updates on new features, new customers, awards for performance, and an open forum for questions and suggestions. Most employees have variable compensation tied to our revenue and have been doing well in achieving the goals. Open Vacation , not unlimitted. In October, when this review was written, we did let some sales people go who took the “Open Vacation” policy too far by taking over two months of vacation. Most companies who provide an “Open Vacation” policy have guidelines like we do. And of course it’s also mistakenly often called “Unlimitted” which obviously it isnt. TrustedSite’s vacation guideline for a new employee is two weeks in addition to the 10 days provided. “Open” means more vacation time can be taken assuming their manager and the employee agree they can still meet the requirements of the job. Underperformance received Micro Management The two October employees were on quota and needless to say it wasn’t possible to make quota being gone that much. Additionally the “micro-management” comment I believe is appropriate given the performance issues being addressed for the two individuals who were let go at this time. I am sorry this individual had a negative experience. No one wins when an employee is let go.

Pros

-Amazing coworkers who are all down to earth, really fun and easy to talk too, no egos in the office. Really makes for a great work environment. -Manager running the team is great, very supportive, easy to talk to, honest and transparent -Full sales cycle so you get to make the sale after pitching the potential customer so you will get closing experience -Most customers you call have at least tried the product on a trial so they are usually warm calls and not ice cold cold calls -Great customer success experience because you have to deal with saving clients and turning a no into a yes, and getting customers to renew and strategizing on ways to prevent and proactively stay ahead of problems with current customers -location is pretty prime being only 2 blocks from Montgomery Bart Station -catered lunch everyday, the kitchen is full of snacks and goodies, beer on tap -Fun events at least once a month

Cons

-Typically start up problems, company can make lots of changes so you need to learn to adapt to the constantly changing product. This led to most of the bad reviews of a few employees being let go because they couldn't adapt to the changing culture and rather working to improve decided to keep doing business as usual.
