Pros

There's a solid group of employees who are down to earth and ego-free.

Cons

Heed my advice and stay away from this toxic office. Someone hit the nail on the head in a previous review and said that TrustedSite is a stagnant company. There has been a core of 6 employees in upper management who have been there since its inception and they have all grown to "director" level in this 20 person org. Aside from the aforementioned core, there isn’t anyone else on the sales team who has been here longer than 1 year. I’ll go into a few details on why this is a red flag: Every week (if not daily) you're micromanaged. This process mostly involves passive aggressive slack messages to make more phone calls. The biggest breakthrough at this company was when upper management figured out a way to send an automatic questionnaire at the end of the day for employees to fill out with how many phone calls they’ve made. If you used a real CRM like Salesforce you could find this information yourself in two minutes but TrustedSite uses a custom “in-house” solution that is extremely limited. The CEO will regularly go on a crazy tirade. For example, he once sent out a random email about why employees shouldn’t be wasting his time. I’ve personally never talked to him for more than 5 minutes, but this one email is a clear example that you’re a little more to him than an employee who should be sitting at their desk and making a phone call. Good luck prospecting for phone numbers and emails. This company is antiquated in that they use no tools, other than the aforementioned 'in-house' CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You sign an offer letter that says you have unlimited PTO but then 6 months into employment they say you only have 12 days of PTO. This tactic is used to scare employees and ultimately save the company from having to pay out unused PTO after they likely quit. Compensation is terrible because the product will never be scalable in the enterprise or Mid - Market space. Their churn rate is terrible because their motto is to get the SMB market into trials and hope they forgot they're paying us. They’ve fired multiple employees before they even work there for three months. The managers come up with excuses like “they weren’t a good fit”, or “they weren’t hitting quota”. A major red flag showing they're not willing to invest in their employees. Taking this job and company seriously is hard to do since there are 1,000 other tech companies in the bay area actually making an impact on B2B solutions.

The timing of this review coincides with addressing a number of performance issues with junior sales reps most of which were oriented around a few folks not putting the effort in and having significant time out of the office. We have a direct sales model which requires confidence, good sales skills, product knowledge. We provide 90 days of training and desk-side coaching. This system has worked to produce many successful sales reps and generated millions of dollars of revenue. This reviewer most likely felt micro managed due to missing quota and not putting the time and effort in to be successful. We have also eliminated the SDR role primarily because the pay level attracted a much lower caliber person. Our smaller customers are now serviced and sold by solid “Customer Care” Team who are trained on all aspects of sales, product support, and account management. Much of this reviewers comments are simply not true. Our website security and certification services are very effective and have many case studies supporting the benefits our customers receive. We have very little customer churn, active case studies with larger customers every week. Our sales management team rose thru the ranks building this business making cold calls and targeted account enterprise calls very successfully. If you love sales or you think it’s for you, then TrustedSite can help build the basic skills and training needed to be successful. Tim Dowling CEO TrustedSite

Pros

-Amazing coworkers who are all down to earth, really fun and easy to talk too, no egos in the office. Really makes for a great work environment. -Manager running the team is great, very supportive, easy to talk to, honest and transparent -Full sales cycle so you get to make the sale after pitching the potential customer so you will get closing experience -Most customers you call have at least tried the product on a trial so they are usually warm calls and not ice cold cold calls -Great customer success experience because you have to deal with saving clients and turning a no into a yes, and getting customers to renew and strategizing on ways to prevent and proactively stay ahead of problems with current customers -location is pretty prime being only 2 blocks from Montgomery Bart Station -catered lunch everyday, the kitchen is full of snacks and goodies, beer on tap -Fun events at least once a month

Cons

-Typically start up problems, company can make lots of changes so you need to learn to adapt to the constantly changing product. This led to most of the bad reviews of a few employees being let go because they couldn't adapt to the changing culture and rather working to improve decided to keep doing business as usual.
