Pros
Two Chairs is filled with driven, caring people. We often disagree, but I feel strongly that that disagreement drives us towards our shared goal of access to exceptional mental healthcare. Balance is strong at Two Chairs, and I think of it as a 'choose your own adventure' in the sense that the effort you put in directly results in advancement. We're not perfect in the way that we work together, but we're constantly iterating on it, which leads to constant improvement. Leadership especially is responsive to feedback. For example, planning was difficult for very specific reasons one half. Those barriers were removed for the next planning cycle. Two Chairs consistently promotes internally, which is not true of all startups. The review cycle is clear, and I know what I need to do to advance. Our leadership is very fiscally responsible, which is why we're one of a very small group of health tech companies that has had no layoffs.
Cons
We're still striking the right balance on the overhead of how we organize ourselves. Questions like "how much work should we put in on planning vs executing" are still raised, and we have work to do there. That being said, the work work is being done.
