Pros

Manageable case load, health & dental benefits, PTO plus holidays, case consultations, support from colleagues and manager, and the meaningful work with clients. The company also offers stipends for office equipment, wellness, and professional development.

Cons

Recent changes makes this telehealth company not a good fit for clients seeking long-term care, which means there’s pressure for clients to meet treatment goals. Not taking into account individual process and duration it takes to build therapeutic alliance in order to do the meaningful therapeutic work. Many clinicians are unhappy with the changes and feel their autonomy is taken away in terms of their own ability to make clinical judgment (which they are trained and licensed to do) with regard to duration of treatment as well as working with clients within their niche. What initially was pitched as a good matching system no longer feels that way and clinicians’ experience are affected (having to have more availability to see clients outside of hours they agreed on upon hire). Company emphasizes time limited care but many admitted clients present with symptoms that require extended care (high acuity cases).

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Clinicians utilize their clinical judgement to support their clients reaching individualized treatment goals. Research has shown that many of our clients see significant improvement in their symptoms in the early to mid stages of treatment. Our approach allows for continuous collaboration between our clinicians and their clients throughout a clients time in care.

Pros

Responsive, supportive managers/direct report; intentional training; Flexible scheduling

Cons

Pay structure change plus very slow client referrals the past 6+ months have resulted in significant negative financial impact. Emphasis on positives is disproportionate and doesn't accurately reflect reality. (See advice for management). Currently gearing up for new workflows, and there added responsibility: It appears that clinicians will be doing some work that 2 teams (one clinical, one administrative) have previously managed.
