Be prepared for Two Chairs to micromanage everything you do as a therapist via “performance metrics.” No shows, cancellations (out of counselor’s control) is a performance metric. The length of your sessions is a performance metric. Must graduate everyone in 12-20 sessions. Will give you clients with lifetime of trauma and then do a deep dive into why you haven’t made them better in 20 sessions months. Although clients have 15 minutes to show up for session, you are told to instruct them to show up on time and use up the whole hour. Otherwise, you get a talking to for not billing the whole hour. In most recent news, 500 clinicians were “taught” that trauma clients experiencing distress apparently don’t meet medical necessity. Imagine the harm.
