There is a lack of psychological safety. There’s a clear “culture of silence” where questions and candid dialogue is not welcomed. Toxic positivity is often used to dismiss legitimate concerns, and senior leadership lacks trust from employees. There is a lack of empowerment and trust in employees leading to decisions that decrease autonomy over their approach to work. The overall culture is blaming rather than supportive. There is concern that employees will be fired for posing questions or expressing alternative viewpoints. Internal advancement is rare with leadership roles often filled externally, leaving strong internal candidates overlooked. Benefits are subpar, there is no 401k match and the PTO allotment is disappointing.
