Pros

-good benefits -hard to get fired if you've been there a while -drama from stressful times does not last over a day, people reset the next day -paid holidays -great tuition assistance program that pays over $5000 that you're eligible for the day you start work!

Cons

-low hourly pay -not enough hours per week to live on -high expectations from management, they measure brand new employees to seasoned employees who have been with the company 20+ years -they have been hiring and promoting a lot more females than males. Females have extremely bad attitudes when asked for help. -No career advancement, jobs are reserved for single moms over people with education. -number of years with the company far outweighs any advanced degree or work experience. -drivers make way too much money, often blasting music on expensive portable speakers in the office -treating customers poorly is encouraged -promised career advancement with my Bahcelor's degree. I applied to over 30 jobs and wasn't even contacted to interview for any -unprofessional language that would not be tolerated in any other corporate environment -union workers are invincible. they set bad examples for new drivers and it drags down the culture -people who bring personal issues into the office are often in higher regard than hard workers who keep their personal lives separate

Great workout! No need for a gym membership.

Cons

Starting at 3-4am can be brutal if you're not use to it.

Pros

The pay is excellent .health care is 100 % paid with 100 %coverage...with exception to eye and dental which is about 70%..coverage...pension is outstanding..full package with wages and benefits is worth 130,000 yearly..without a college education I am grateful for the standard of living UPS HAS AFFORDED ME AND MY FAMILY!...and with 27 years of service I now get 6 weeks vacation with 8 sick days..and 9 paid holidays...we work hard like many people in the work force but we are well compensated!.

Cons

The only con is while your children are young you give up a lot of family time..I never got to watch my kids play sports and missed a lot of their growing years...the job can be hard on your home life but if you can make it through those years you and your family will enjoy the financial freedom that UPS provides...and now I look forward to a prosperous retirement!...so hang in there all you young drivers...
