Pros
The pay and the hours aren’t terrible, the hands off approach from management is nice, and the health and dental benefits are pretty great.
Cons
The company has to move more product to keep up with the rise of costs as the new recession encroaches, but our warehouse is understaffed, and UPS would rather discipline their overworked skeleton crew for our attendance than hire more hands so that we can actually function on days when two people happen to take off. the Union is pretty much incapable of enacting any kind of real change that would actually benefit the workers, the only thing they’re good for is making sure you don’t get fired but that won’t stop you from wanting to quit. $200 a week isn’t enough for the amount of labor we do at local sort.
