Pros
I've compared UPS's salaries for my role to other companies of equal status, and I'm seeing 5-10k gaps per year with UPS paying more. Strong brand name, which makes it hard to move on from to a medium or smaller company. Bonus incentive. Discounted Stock program. 401k match. Good insurance package varieties. Flexible working hours depending on department. Degree repayment with a commitment of 5 years afterwards (double edge sword).
Cons
No real incentives, such as free shipping or deeper shipping discounts. Management gets pulled during holiday peak to work in warehouses around the U.S. (pro for some). No real advancement opportunities. High turnover in F&A departments. No casual Friday's and business casual all the time (con for me). The move from Supervisor (low level management) to Manager is impossible and taboo if it happens within a year or two from being promoted to Supervisor.
