Pros
It was easy to get hired and I have no complaints about the company. The pay is nice. It covers my semester tuition. Nice overall experience.
Cons
I haven’t been with the company long enough to notice any major negative aspects. However, I did have an uncomfortable experience with a driver who altered my schedule on a day we weren’t supposed to work together and spent the entire day calling me ‘baby’ and hitting on me. He got more aggressive after I rejected him outright. I chose not to report him because this is only a temporary position and he didn't actually do anything illegal. Luckily, however, I have not had to work with him again. While it seems drivers have a significant say in assignment decisions, I don’t think that reflects poorly on UPS, as a company. However if I ended up working at UPS long-term I would be concerned about being stuck in non-UPS-owned vehicles (the Penske vehicles) with these types of individuals for eight hours, as there aren't any cameras.
