Pros
Good pay and love my coworkers. I would not stick around if I didn't enjoy the people near as much as I do as that is the main reason I stay at the company. The new manager is also a great guy, sadly he is the only person in power that is nice or truly cares. Michael walks around daily to check on the plant and the employees, no matter the weather or conditions. He is always eager to improve the atmosphere for the employees and production, unlike the supervisors.
Cons
Majority of the supervisors and foreman have a control problem; they love to micromanage and judge you for the smallest things. Often times, if you make a small mistake, do something they don't approve of, or even assume you did the supervisors will tell everyone in the plant about to, but not directly discuss or ask about the situation to you. One moment supervisors will tell you they want you to work more hours, and then once you do, they will tell you that you are working too many hours; nothing is ever good enough for them and they will use you like a toy until burnout. There are also obvious cliques' people have, especially to get close to management for extra "benefits." No matter your experience or years there, they likely will not care; if someone is close buddies with someone in management, they will always get priority to you or anyone else in your department. Lots of employees hide or stand around all day to look important, which then causes the rest of those in departments have to pick up the missing slack earning their pay, while others are just there; many of these individuals also take various 30-50 minute breaks throughout the day, making the rest of the department to once again pick up on slack and not even taking a break throughout an 8-12 hour day. Management could also make employees feel valued, whether they mean it or not, a little goes a long way. Sadly, most of these views are across the plant, certain management individuals are lacking far more than others, have never heard a single good thing about sed individuals. Very little work life and home life balance, depending on work departments.
