Pros

Great summer gig from employee benefits stand point... free admission and 50% off friend/family passes up to 6 day. This place is small for the crowds generated so it is always an awesome crowd and party. different departments offer different types of jobs and job training with different customer experiences. flexible hours because of the sheer number of employees per department.

Cons

here it is, since its a small place with large crowds.. there is not enough employees to adequately support such events, top management wants to cut over-head costs and have done so; in result have screwed up the restaurant and food/beverage services. moving into rafting and activities, because of the large crowds just like an amusement park the waiting is intensive so prepare for that. Rafting is fun when you get on the river, but from an employee aspect working is rough if you are trying to make the gig a consistent job. advancement is limited at the USNWC, there are favorites in every department and there is politics and they are very evident. so advice is to use this place as a summer gig, if you are trying to come in and move up don't waste your time or kiss alot of people's butts and the right people at that

Pros

-Pay is pretty decent given the workload -Access to Whitewater Activities -Staff Discount at the store on property -Happy Customers 9/10 times -Great team -Flexibility

Cons

-Upper Management: while direct management is caring and supportive, upper management watches for mistakes and only cares about the bottom dollar -12+hour shifts; breaks can be ignored -Extreme Heat -Uniform not included -Can be expected to come into work when the road is iced over in winter season (parkway not salted) -Dead seasons of the year (post-summer and pre-winter)
