Pros

Free pass, free parking, discount at the outfitters store - employees are fun and enjoyable and so are the activities

Cons

- The scheduling expects that you can work at all times - The pay is low for the amount of work that you do; spend hours at a time in the 100 degree heat or the 32 degree cold with few breaks. You can work inside somewhere else for $15 - Few chances to actually use the pass given - Some bosses and most of the guests are unfriendly, and it is often a thankless job with high expectations. - So little training for many of the jobs. Its like running around like a chicken with your head cut off - The lack of diversity is astonishing. Not a single person of color is in upper management, and there are very few people who are not white working there. I am sure that there are a diverse group of people applying, so it is beyond confusing how little diversity is actually shown. And if there are not people of color applying, it makes you wonder what about the USNWC makes them not want to work there and what hiring can do to improve that. It is unacceptable.

Cons

-Upper Management: while direct management is caring and supportive, upper management watches for mistakes and only cares about the bottom dollar -12+hour shifts; breaks can be ignored -Extreme Heat -Uniform not included -Can be expected to come into work when the road is iced over in winter season (parkway not salted) -Dead seasons of the year (post-summer and pre-winter)
