- Bad management (bad engineering managers and directors) - Sinking stock because leadership does not have clear direction around what to do - Unmanageable work load (too much expectation because of pressure from higher management and engineering managers cannot handle the same and trickles down to ICs) - Some engineering managers lack empathy (do not care much about well being of employees and just need to work to be done) - ICs have complained earlier about work load affecting their well being and personal time
