Pros

They ran a good operation. Management tried to keep a good engineering culture. It wasn't always possible but they tried which is important.

Cons

The pay could have been higher. The ESOP was kind of a joke as well as the IRA match. Like most companies it did have it's problems.

We absolutely keep our eyes on maintaining a strong culture for our team members. I (Ulteig's Chief HR Officer) will offer a few comments about the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) for readers of this post. For the ESOP, the company makes a contribution on behalf of eligible employees after each financial year. It's not a match. The company also matches 2% for U.S. employees' 401(k) contributions. The ESOP contribution, together with the 401(k) match, are significantly higher than the 5% match that you referenced. Let me know if you have any questions about these retirement benefits.

Pros

- Company leadership is strong - Skilled personnel work here. Great talent all over - Internal job and growth opportunities + creation (promotions, lateral moves) - Remote-first/flexible - Culture is inclusive and comprehensive of employee wellbeing - Compensation & benefits

Cons

- Available internal tools that support our services and needs are lacking and disorganized (engineering, PM, F&A, etc…) - Too many competing internal initiatives
